Jan 24 & 25: Dry January Donation Drive and Community Day of Action

$0.00

Keeping our neighbors dry is a shared responsibility.

This January, SUAY is hosting a community donation drive and volunteer sorting pop-up in partnership with RHA and Union Rescue Mission. Winter conditions are harsh, and many of our unhoused neighbors are being left exposed. This event is a chance to show up together with material support, time, and care.

This is not a drop-off-only drive. We are inviting the community to participate in sorting and preparing winter survival items for redistribution.

What’s Happening

  • Donation drive for high-need winter items

  • Volunteer sorting and redistribution preparation

  • Flash sale to generate immediate funds for redistribution

  • Warm food and coffee with values-aligned vendors

You are welcome to come for 15 minutes or stay longer.

What to Bring

We are collecting partner-verified, high-need items only. Please bring items that are clean and in usable condition.

  • Waterproof jackets

  • Working tents

  • New or lightly used tarps

  • Sleeping bags and blankets

  • New socks and undergarments

  • Sweatpants and sweatshirts (men’s large preferred)

  • Full-size towels

If you do not have items to bring, you are still encouraged to come and help sort.

How to Participate

  • Bring donation items if you have them

  • Volunteer to help sort and organize
