24-26 Oct: Velitas & Marigolds: A Weekend for the People

$0.00

Velitas for the joy they couldn’t steal.

Marigolds to map the way forward.

Velitas for the light that finds us.

Marigolds as open doors to the sacred.

Velitas & marigolds—for the people, always.

Event Overview

This is an offering. SUAY, NorBlack NorWhite & Equihua invite you to a weekend where we weave together the spirits of two celebrations: Día de Muertos and Diwali. We are creating a space to honor the people who make our work possible—the garment workers, the skilled manual laborers, our community. In a world that tries to take so much, we choose to cultivate light. This weekend is a moment for remembrance, a beacon for our path forward, and a celebration of the joy that refuses to be taken away. Join us.
